Brief Bio or Introduction
I’m a widely published freelance journalist. From 2004–2018, I wrote the award-winning column “Musings from Mama” for the San Diego Jewish Journal. In 2018, The San Diego Press Club recognized me as the #1 Columnist in the monthly magazine category. Since retiring the column, I’ve broadened my audience, writing for publications including the Los Angeles Times; The Forward; JTA; JNS; Variety; San Diego Union Tribune; Sacramento Bee and the Times of Israel.
In 2021, the AJPA awarded me a Rockower for 1st Place in the Best Freelancer category.
